Maybe a stoopid qn

Recommended Posts

Everyone seems to be using XP. I am using win2k.

When I install my os, it fails to detect my HDD as 250Gb but only 130gb.

I can install my os on 130gb.

How do I recover the remaining 120ish hdd space lost?

Windows 2000 support for 48 bit LBA requires installing Service Pack 2 or higher, and then it needs enabled in the registry. This will enable support for drives larger than 137 Gigabyte.

see if this link helps.

Here's a good site here

Stock Win2k can only recognize up to 137gb on a given drive. Either spit the drive into multiple partitions or install at least SP2.
