freeeky Posted August 3, 2005 Posted August 3, 2005 that's right, but I dont think that any of us lives in Alaska nor the caribbean coast to get such different readings at the similar or sometimes same setup... btw... ambient temp would it be near 25 in my room. Case temp (mobo temp) reads 36c-38c through nvidia monitor or everest
mack73 Posted August 3, 2005 Posted August 3, 2005 My room temps are between 22-23c. So yes there is a couple degree differences between us My layout. 1 80mm inlet on bottom. 1 80mm exhaust mounted out the top of the tower 1 120mm blowing on CPU area and XP-
freeeky Posted August 3, 2005 Posted August 3, 2005 Well... based on my experience, your top exhaust it's really doing the job.... I've always done that on my setups.... the problem it's that I cant drill a blowhole on this beauty......
rise4310 Posted August 3, 2005 Posted August 3, 2005 rise, I have the same setup as u..... try getting the mems to 255mhz to reach a nice 2.8ghz, should be stable at that voltage.. Also, where did u got that temp readings?? nah, i need more volts and using cool n quiet i need "auto" +xxx to get my vcore. so its either this or 1.582. i'll probably try it someday, too busy messing with the rig i have for sale though now. temp readings are just from the board. you use a probe? edit, yeah btw my ram is good to 260 at these timings so i wouldn't mind getting that 2800. freeeky Posted August 3, 2005 Posted August 3, 2005 im using a probe at the heatsink, but that's no measure at all IMO, temps seems to high for me, but who cares, it's rock stable in prime95 and never gets past the 50c
mack73 Posted August 3, 2005 Posted August 3, 2005 So to get back on topic. I wouldn't run anything more than 1.7v. If your temps are good you should be fine

Death909 Posted August 15, 2005 Posted August 15, 2005 I get 48C at 1.65v. I am using the stock heatsink and thermal pad.. Ambient temps are around 16C-20C, but sometimes go down to 7C.
