Just upgraded to a DFI Lanparty NF4 Ultra D, bought a 7800GT, get a picture in BIOS and post but as soon as windows starts to load the monitor switches off.

Cant boot in VGA, Safe or normal mode. Yet if I put a X300 in that works fine. Starting to panic now after reading this thread. The 7800gt came with a PCI power convertor, two four pin molex to PCI power, running this straight off the PSU. THe box card came in says +12v needs minimum of 20A. Well on side of my PSU it says +12V 30A so I assume this should be okay. I`m using a Sony HMD-200 CRT monitor, its a bit old but was expensive in its day. Wondering whether its the PSU. Are we saying if you have a TFT LCD monitor this problem never happens ?

I get the magneta hue sometimes in post but if I wiggle the VGA to DVI convertor it goes away.

I've seen suggestions of changing the bios etc not sure what to do.
