rok Posted August 3, 2005 Posted August 3, 2005 Twas trying to set her up in raid 0 and somehow she ended up in raid1. I tried to reconfig and restart. I am trying to go back into NVIDIA raid setup and set her up all over again but she is getting hung up trying to detect raid config? I reset cmos and reformated drives trying to get past this but still getting hung up. Question: How do I keep it from hanging up trying to detect raid config so I can set it to raid 0? Thanks! red930 Posted August 3, 2005 Posted August 3, 2005 From a lesson learned long ago. Always use the RAID BIOS to break an array. This removes any trace that the drive was once used in a RAID array. I would download the drive tools from your drive manufacturer to "zero" the drives following their instructions. This will remove any trace of the old array and allow the new array to be built and populated. Twas trying to set her up in raid 0 and somehow she ended up in raid1. I tried to reconfig and restart.
