mobile hangs....bios or psu issues?

Recommended Posts

hi again

i just cant get my mobile to work above 2300mhz no mather what

i tryed

200x12

235x10

220x10,5

i dont know....i have been trying combinations for ther last 2 days

and my brother in law bought a mobile same stepping as mine and a dfi lp ultra b like mine

he is having the same issue

the sistem will hang after a couple of hours of folding....or after a couple of minutes of occt

if we give more than 1,75 v the sistem wont boot

the temps are within normal range....1,700 v 52ºc full load

my psu as u can see for the sig is a pos......my brother in law has a 480 w 18 amps psu and he has a 6800gt.....

i will try this bios.....if its the right one.....i have rev 3 and i want to test rev 2

N24ID619

if not plz one more time give me the right bios....its always a bit confusing to me to choose the right one

could this be our psu fault...that dont supply enough juice to overclock mems, cpu and vga

plz give me your opinions

its vary strange that this will just hang...even at 230 x10 1,7v with 8 rounds of memtest

2300MHz is where the Mobiles start to get hot and use a LOT more voltage. Up that sucka to 1.8 or 1.85 and see if it's a go. may be time to re-apply the TIM to your CPU/HSF as well. A good reseating never hurts.

(and no whining about having to dismantle the rig) :D

Yeah SOund is spot on there, it sounds like your maxed your Mhz at that voltage, you need to up it to get it stable and that means hotter than you got now which is pretty hot. 52C at full load i would not be happy with that, i know its within spec but you wont get many systems running smooth at that temps, i doubt you will get any of the hardcore here running at those temps either, you need to address your cooling solution a bit more as it appears not up to the task, if you wanna go higher you need more volts to cpu and better cooling.

At 2630Mhz i have to run 1.90v through my cpu ;) you do the math.......
