charlie22911 Posted August 1, 2005 Posted August 1, 2005 mabye its the steeping cpu you have, BTW what steping do you have? PSU could be it yes, also could be power surdges in your home, more so if you have a cheap PSU since it would doubtedly have a damper in it. soundx98 Posted August 1, 2005 Posted August 1, 2005 2300MHz is where the Mobiles start to get hot and use a LOT more voltage. Up that sucka to 1.8 or 1.85 and see if it's a go. may be time to re-apply the TIM to your CPU/HSF as well. A good reseating never hurts. (and no whining about having to dismantle the rig)

loggan26 Posted August 1, 2005 Posted August 1, 2005 Yeah SOund is spot on there, it sounds like your maxed your Mhz at that voltage, you need to up it to get it stable and that means hotter than you got now which is pretty hot. 52C at full load i would not be happy with that, i know its within spec but you wont get many systems running smooth at that temps, i doubt you will get any of the hardcore here running at those temps either, you need to address your cooling solution a bit more as it appears not up to the task, if you wanna go higher you need more volts to cpu and better cooling. At 2630Mhz i have to run 1.90v through my cpu you do the math.......

charlie22911 Posted August 1, 2005 Posted August 1, 2005 pardon me if im wrong but wouldnt it be pointless with his OEM no name PSU to run at these clocks at those voltages? im sure its maxing out now and if it wont even boot past 1.75v then that kinda confirms it i guess.
