ocz memory for dfi slidr

Hi to all, need some advice, am building new system, will be probably based on lan party slidr wil advise more, but at present need to ask the following, thanks

 

I have been offered (Brand new)2 x 1 gig sticks of memory OCZ-DDR PC-3200 Dual Channel Platinum ocz4002048eldcple-k @£220

 

According to ocz web site this is eol.

 

Is this a good buy? Or should I walk away

Dont know but if it is not REV 2 run dont walk.

mmmmm, i've seen a similar offer and the 2x1gb is what i'm looking for, also interested if its Rev 2 or not (i assume the rev 2 stuff is the one to have, i can only find info on Rev 2 512's)

1GB performs better than 2GB on nearly everything, 2GB will only be faster if the application you are runing requires a lot of memory.

 

Sorry for Thread jacking Blindfitter, thanks Sharp, i want 2Gb for graphics work, but mainly BF2 lol, so would 4 of the above still Overclock as well, beraing in mind i'll be learning as i go, but would like to see some good figures?
