Ahhhh.... the second slot....

Recommended Posts

After weeks of 'trouble shooting' a crashing system (one symptom of 3d apps REALLY making the PSU hum) I moved the PCIe 6800GT to the 2nd PCIe slot and all is well - whiny hums from the PSU and no crashes... does this mean the first slot is bad? should I return the MB for warranty repair? thanks all!

Hello,

Did you plug all the power connectors into the board?

Floppy one under the CPU socket + hard drive one on top the chipset fan.

And if you gfx card requires a power connector you must plug one in.

Was it in the way of the chipset fan?
