My Sempron 2800+ 754 @ 2.6GHz

Am I reading your chip voltage correctly? Is is set at 1.968? Unless you have some heavy duty phase change going on man I don't think that is safe at all. Granted, I am basing my statement on what the equivalent volts would do to a 939 Athlon64 (venice or winchester) but...that palermo you have is a modified winchester core with 64 bit extensions disabled and half the L2 so I don't see it being fundamentally different regarding its ability to handle volts.

I also have a palermo core (3100+) that is currently running at 2.5Ghz at 1.55v. It will do 2.7Ghz at 1.65v but it is a 24/7 server so I stopped looking for the top end there due to thermal issues.

Besides the safety issue...are you positive you even need those volts?

Area51's questions about voltage are very valid. It would be helpful if you could make a sig (as per site requirements) so we could see the rest of the parts in your rig.

I also run a Sempron, and I'm curious about the stability of your O/C. How does it react to Prime95 or Memtest?
