OCZ VX 2X512 on my NF4

Recommended Posts

I am currently running a 3500+ Winny on my super cool looking nF4 Ultra-D. I had no problems for about a month or so, then on stick of my ram crapped out and I RMAed it. All good, and now the computer only wants to work on one stuick of ram, I am considering RMAing it again, but it is aweful to only have the performace I paid for, for only 2 weeks, than have it go out and wait 2 months for new sticks. I have tried all setting for clocking and voltage, I am now back at slow stock speeds. I bought quality equipment to work at a quality speed.I tried to search for like postings, but had no luck. I ain't all that great with this site, still kinda new. Sorry for the long post, but thanks for any help you guys may offer.

By your own admission you are putting more voltage on that memory than it is warrantied for and there are enough threads and posts and discussions of VX and one lost stick and cold boot and anything else to know that the stuff will not hold up for some people. No one knows exactly why. But 3.6v on the memory is certainly high enough over time to take out a marginal stick for sure.
