dingobiatch Posted July 30, 2005 Posted July 30, 2005 really? over on hardforums, people with my exact same setup are getting like around 8k..
Shard Posted July 30, 2005 Posted July 30, 2005 That is REALLY low! Errr...when running 3dmark05 you are disabling all settings on the card right(no AA or AF...etc)? Running 1024x768? ...We ran a 64 bit 3200 on an sli-dr with 1GB twinmos in dual layer and got 7474 with no tweaking whatsoever...and we used a Leadtek 7800GTX. dingobiatch Posted July 30, 2005 Posted July 30, 2005 ya thats what i thought lol. what bios should i be using? im using the 6/23 version, is there newer? im using forceware 77.76... it is 1024x768, no aa, optimal af. *i just remembered ive been running azureus, downloading at ~30kps and uploading at ~25kps, could that be the reason my score is low?*
malinois1 Posted July 30, 2005 Posted July 30, 2005 Well there are many variables. Did you go in display properties and set antialiasing and anisotropic to off and image settings to high performance. Shut down any uneeded services etc... ?
Shard Posted July 30, 2005 Posted July 30, 2005 malinois1 is right. It could be a number of things. Downloading stuff will slow down your system as the benchmark stresses all subsystems, not just the graphics card(s). Like turning off AV software is also one of the simplest ways to boost performance. I'm using the same bios as you dude. In fact my card wouldn't work with the original bios version that shipped out in January(hehe)...the system kept crashing and rebooting when a game was played. ...bios update fixed that! We were using the same forcewear drivers. You did install chipset drivers too right?
dingobiatch Posted July 30, 2005 Posted July 30, 2005 yea. ok so i had my image settings on quality.. that could be a reason.. ill benchmark after i download. (im trying do download a backup of bf2 because i cant find god damn cd4, so.. i can tease myself and install 3/4 of the game. all i wanted to do on this new system is play bf2 too. arg.)
