Salthi Posted July 29, 2005 Posted July 29, 2005 For some reason my ram keeps failing memtest as stock complete stock levels. I've been using the ram in an msi board for over a month now so I know it's good. Is their some sort of trick needed to make ballstix ram work on a nf4 ultra-d? seamuso Posted July 29, 2005 Posted July 29, 2005 what test(s) is it failing? have you tried each piece individually to see if it a specific stick that is causing the errors?
AndrewZorn Posted July 29, 2005 Posted July 29, 2005 ive heard bad things about the ballistix in these boards you might want to search around for that

Salthi Posted July 29, 2005 Posted July 29, 2005 Ok well somewhere along the lines one of my sticks crapped out on me, so I've gone on and filled an rma on that. But now I have anotheir problem, whenever I try to stress both cores on my x2 using superpi for example the program crashes. Indepently both cores can run this test fine but when they both run full throttle I crash, playing with the voltages doesn't seem to help much either. Has anyone else experinced a problem like this? Fire-N-Ice Posted July 29, 2005 Posted July 29, 2005 are you rma'ing both sticks? since it is a dual channel kit this would be a good idea. otherwise your chancing getting a stick that doesn't cooperate with the one you have, even though independantly, it works good. Sharp Posted July 29, 2005 Posted July 29, 2005 Salthi Have you tried my settings? For dual core CPUs you must use BIOS 623. What BIOS are you using?
