Problem... I mean...BIG problemS

Recommended Posts

Hi there!

I just bought a DFI Lanparty UT Nf3 Ultra-D

Memory, OCZ Dual Channel EL Gold VX Series OCZ4001024ELDCGEVX-K w/ Heatspreader (2x 512MB DDR400 Matched Pair, CAS 2-2-2-8@ 3.2V)

CPU: AMd 64 3200 Core Venice

Now here's my problem

I put one stick of memory in #1 slot and #3...

With last bios flashed, was able to set speed to 200..but.. there's a problem, detected in cpu-z... still in SINGLE channel..while supposed to be in dual channel.

Second problem. As soon as I want to overclock, I put 205 instead of 200 for my cpu speed... and... well.. my computer didn't want to boot at all... I had to clear my cmos...

what's going wrong?!?!? :|

CPU voltage: 1.280, speed. 2009mhz

HTT: 201.0 mhz

Memory: CAs latency. 2.5

ras to cas. 3

ras precharge 3

cycle time 6

bank cycle time 10

dram idle timer 16

SPD table:

Frequency: 200

CAs: 2.5

ras to cas: 3

ras precharge 3

Tras: 7

Can anyone help me, I am kinda desesperate :|

I try to put memory in all 4 slots available..

at the moment I have one in the #1 and another one in the #3

cpu-z tells me that is SINGLE channel...and.. well

#1 is in yellow

#3 is in orange

What's wrong?

Due to what ever reason at dfi channels #1 and #3 are the 2 orange coloured ones and #2 and #4 are the yellow ones. I had the exact same problem but put both sticks in the same coloured slots and presto dual channel. Also on my board if i have the memory timming at 1T then it will crash all the time if i force 2T then stable as a rock. Memtest 86+ fails within 5 mins on 1T but went for over 24hrs on 2T.

Dual channel now! :)

Let's resolve the other problem.. Overclocking...

As soon as I put 203-205... my computer do not boot.. I tried with 205 and I had to clear cmos... :|
