ravervx Posted July 25, 2005 Posted July 25, 2005 Hey Guys, I'm building a computer with DFI LANPARTY UT nF4 SLI-DR and Athlon X2 4200, and I'm having alot of problems with it, it is extremely finicky. I decided to flash the bio of the motherboard so that it supports the new dual core processor. I downloaded the mini 623 CD-ROM image and initiated the flashing process. Right now, it is stuck in the flashing process for the past 20 minutes. It wrote 2 bars, ie |||||||||||||| |||||||||||||| <- stuck here What should I do? Guest Tmod Posted July 25, 2005 Posted July 25, 2005 Well no matter what you do the bios will be corrupt as you are going to have to remove power to get it to do anything. Your best bet is after trying to reboot (You may get lucky and it didn't write anything to the bios) But if it is dead just send the bios chip off to DFI for a re-programming. Guest Tmod Posted July 25, 2005 Posted July 25, 2005 Take a look at my Hot Swapping Tutorial and it will show you how. Tutorial You might want to consider getting a spare chip while you are at it. Tmod
Sharp Posted July 25, 2005 Posted July 25, 2005 Hello, Restart the PC and it may be ok or ask you to put a system boot disk. http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showthread.php?t=17283
