AustinGamer, July 20, 2005 in Overclocking and Cooling
Temps run while stressing the computer are more important to overclocking than ones while at idle. Try running prime 95 and report your temps. You can probably up the vcore some and increase your core speed.
With stock cooling, you should be able to get ~2200 or so out of the winnie...
-try a fsb of 220 (keep the multi at x10)
-lower LDT to x4
-try voltage of 1.275 x 116% (or so)
-bump chipset and RAM voltages by 0.1 or 0.2
-give er a try
(I have a very similar setup, besides the corsair RAM)
do i change these in the bios. cant u chamge voltage in smart guardian?
You want to make all your changes in bios. Smartguardian just displays temp's and voltages.
from a previous post how do i get to change this for my rig?
when i changed everything else my temps are now
cpu 35 deg
pwm ic 34 deg
chipset 44 deg
ALSO on smartguardian my voltage for nb +1.5v is colored red at 1.67 v_ is this baD?
my temp under load for my cpu is 39 c
should i ncrease the corespeed from 2200.2 up to 2300?
also my voltage for nb +1.5v is colored red at 1.67 v_ is this baD??
Dude, just read to stickies. People shouldn't be forced to hold your hand through this, there are plenty of guides out there, use them.
