red930 Posted July 20, 2005 Posted July 20, 2005 Flashed Bios to 316, (just testing Bioses) have no Floppy drive now???????? I'm not flamin here, but would like to understand why you would flash to a bios that does not officially support that SD core
THunDA Posted July 20, 2005 Posted July 20, 2005 What playah said ... ^^ You should flash to 510 or newer to have support for your revE cpu.. the others will get you to boot and flash to a newer bios but they are not recommended to use .. Dynomutt Posted July 20, 2005 Posted July 20, 2005 flash back with no floppy!!!! good luck
THunDA Posted July 20, 2005 Posted July 20, 2005 Sorry but, Its CALLED testing have you never tested before. Thats understandable.. BUT the bios doesnt support your cpu.. Anyways you should reflash to a newer bios.. 510 or newer to support your cpu.. Try using the bios cd by pershoot with the new addition of flashXpress from Sharp.. That should help you get back to a bios that works..
zac1 Posted July 20, 2005 Posted July 20, 2005 Hello, Zac did you try any of the flashXpress boot disks? Hi sharp good to hear from you. Was going to try them but flppoy not working now. Downloaded all of them ready to try them. Do you think it is Bios that has made my floppy vanish???? Checked all leads, or it could have broke, had it for a while never used it till now, about 10 times max. Cheers. ???????
red930 Posted July 20, 2005 Posted July 20, 2005 I don't think anyones trying to flame you here and yes I've done my share of testing, but some times I'll even take some good advice, like this from AG, you should only flash a bios if a different bios has a specific fix for a specific problem you are having (ie you have 3.10 bios and you have a San Diego cpu, you need 5.10 or later...that is a specific fix...if you are just flashing cuz you see a new bios...DON'T) Edit:Hope you get it worked out
