oliveryochest Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 i would go for the xp90 instead: smaller, less weight if your gonna go with the aluminum, and only couple of degrees difference. best bang for the buck. www.svc.com for $24.
BlackDragon24 Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 Hiya all, im thinking of getting a xp-120 but could I use all 4 of the ram dims and use my card in the top pcie 16x slot normally? also i have heatsinks on the top of my x800xl would that get in the way? I have an xp-120 and use the orange slots, which are closest to the cpu socket, and have no problems...I cannot see there being a problem using the yellow slots as well. I am also running a 6800gt with an NV silencer, and have no problems with obstruction....just make sure the heat pipes are oriented so they are opposite to the mem slots. You will lose the 4x pcie slot but no one uses it right now so it shouldnt be any big deal
loc.o Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 Depends on what mem. Mine will do 4 dimms under XP120. Used orange with 2 dimms in, card in upper slot.
