jasonsupreme Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 Hi People I used to own an asus deluxe motherboard, i also own a vapochill lightspeed cooling unit. Now i was having issues with overclocking my cpu, setting was 2.6GHz - 3.2GHz 245x13 x5, voltage was on auto even though some times i had the voltage at 1.584, CPU temperture at -2 degrees. Anyway i got into windows with those settings ran some demos, also ran GTA San andreas every thing was fine till i ran 3d Benchmark03 and as soon as it got to the battle proxycon demo it freezes, and i had to reset the system, everything was fine untill the third attempt of doing this, now i can get in and out the bios fine but at post where the system is listing hardware it just freezes it won't even make it to the point where i can load a windows xp cd in dos, i've chekced all my hardware it's fine i get a system post at boot but yet i still froze. now i've ordered a DFI UT Sli lanparty DR, i'm afaid of having the same problem happing, for such high CPU overclocking will i need any water cooling equipment on the chipset, if i can avoid buying this i'll be alot happier. Thanks

Frallan Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 Many of us run pretty high chip voltages and the basic chipset fan is good enough. But Id say U might just have hit Ure CPU limit... Please create a sig so we can see what U have in order to say more.
