Kordin With what you are seeing in the device manager, you might try installing/reinstalling your nForce chipset drivers. Sorrento Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 was running fine.. and then.... Those words are scary, very clever thread title Next time that happens try the repair console... booting from Windows CD (with sata floppy if you are running RAID), do exactly as trying to reinstall windows but when it ask you if you want to enter Repair Console press R, then select 1 for the c:/Windows installation. Once there run CHKDSK with /P to try to fix any disk problems; I think its /p, but you can type /? and check out all the options for CHKDSK, I think there are only two. For me it has solved many problems avoiding reinstalling the whole thing.

h_Us3r Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 I would suggest: 1. Swap out the IDE cable for whatever ur CD/DVD drives are on. 2. try running one at a time and see what happens. Cuz if none of these suggestions work, guess what, the IDE channel/slot the drives are connected to are shot and in that case its RMA time. h
