New DFI board won't run

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Just finished putting together my new system, but when I turn it on, I just get a big DFI Lanparty Logo on the screen. Nothing else happens. I've tried resetting the CMOS to no avail.

I'm using a 580W Hiper PSU, I've connected all the connectors, and I've got an X850 XT and just a single stick of Corsair at the moment.

Any ideas?

Cheers.

Ok first idea is to create a sig :dog:

Then its good that Uve done some reseach so ure not under powered. Have u connected all 4 cables?

Then try w just one stick of Ram and then the first thing U do in BIOS is to Load optimized defaults and disable LanParty Logo.

Report back.

Hey man

So u can't get into bios when hitting [delete] button ?

Have u tried unplugging your Ide/sata cables ?

Moving the memory to another slot ?

Try resetting the bios with the jumper off for 10 min.

Gl man, let us know how it goes :)

Nope delete doesn't do anything. Oddly, my keyboard LED's dont light up either. Tried a USB and a PS2 keyboard.

I'll go move the ram and unplug the drives now.

Any ideas about the red and yellow lights?

Ok, sig made :)

I've moved the ram and unplugged my hard drives, no difference. Double checked power connectors - all in. Reset CMOS, no joy. Taken the battery out for a bit now.

I've only got the one stick of ram in at the moment, I only ever fill my machine with everything I have once it's all up and running.

I've saved a sig, no idea why it isnt coming up.

I'm running a Lanparty NF4 Ultra-D, 3200+ Venice, 2 Maxtor HDD's, an X850 XT, and a Hiper 580W PSU.

Everything else I've not even put in yet. Just a single stick of known good XMS3200LL as well.

Have you tried all your sticks, one by one of course? Was thinking you might have a weak one. Have you tried a long CMOS clear? Just a couple things right off the top of my head. You say you have 4 sticks there, maybe try each one. Think those might like voltage and if your stuck @ 2.6v it might not be enough is all, but maybe one will require juss a little less to get you goin'..who knows.

Good Luck

Ok Drop the PATA and run the SATA on SATA port 3 or 4.

Then the Red light:

When U sart the computer there should be 4 red light coming on tthen the first will go off as U detect CPU. The second for graphics and the third for RAM (or in another order) the forth is turned off upon succesful boot.

Did U try hittin del once ever 1.5 secons during the enitire LanParty screen?
