casper_wjt Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 I'm having troubles with my new setup. DFI Lanparty UltraD nf4. I couldn't get the NVIDIA IDE Drivers to work at all - kept killing the OS, and when I play games after 5 minutes things start to get jerky. I'm using an X2 4400 cpu. Im using this RAM: http://www.ocztechnology.com/products/memo...hannel_platinum Which BIOS should I be using? I noticed theres -1 -2 and -3 revisions... I'm just using the latest one 6-23 on DFI's site. Im guessing this is my problem. Which version do I upgrade to? Any clues? jelbo Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 I hate to say this, but first of all you should create a sig with your specs. It's wise to also include your BIOS version and other relevant info. Edit: Ack! A_G beat me to it
casper_wjt Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 is this ok now?
jelbo Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 The sig is fine I think the RAm uses TCCD chips, so the 623-3 BIOS is good for that. Have you tried other drivers?
casper_wjt Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 Yeah tried diff version of NVIDIA IDE Drivers. At once stage got it to boot with RAID on, but am running single drives atm with MS Drivers. Still doesn't explain the games, though :S
Frallan Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 Well its pretty simple... nVidias IDE drivers are Crap. Don install them use windows generics. Also Sata Drives are to be on SATA ports 3 & 4.
