I wasn't planning on having a floppy drive.

Recommended Posts

I haven't needed one for so long Mine has been broken for two years and I've never needed to get it fixed.

From reading here at the forums it seems as if I must get one to create a bios flashing disk.

Since I haven't built my new box and since I'll be using my only case hence disassembling my other box I'd better get a floppy drive throw it in this box, and make a bios flashing floppy with the latest bios.

Which one should I use ?I see alot of oskar wu info and am unclear what thats all about. Also I'm buying a mobo combo from Monarch which is supposedly pretested and should already be X2 compatible. Does dfi have a bios flashing utility?.

I've used asus's for years with very good results.

I shouldn't waste thier time with stupid questions I can easily look up myself, That I think I get. If there is another profound "it" I am completely missing, do tell. Or if you just like being rude to noobs while they find their footing in an unfamiliar forum, I sincerely hope I can afford you some entertainment. I''m probably ruining any chance I have of getting some real help here when I need it, but f(_(ck it, I've had a hard day,and I've been at quite a few new forums lately and there is always some totally superior person, that rather than be helpful, or constructively critical, or merely silent, just can't help but be mean and hurtful.

nope, i deleted playah's useless flaming post. He knows better. He is not normally like that. Just ignore him for the time being.

you are honest and say you dont have the board yet so that is good enough. Know that when you get your board we'll need to know your bios version if you do need help. All you have to do is ask and we'll do what we can.

Monarch is definately a good place to order through. I like the fact that they'll pretest your hardware along with flashing to the latest bios if neccesary to get every thing in order and working properly. Have fun with your new system. Every thing in your sig looks great. Nice choice on the PSU especially :) .
