Disabling Sata Scan On Asus A7n8x

Recommended Posts

I'm not running any Serial ATA hardware and don't plan to...so is there anyway I can get rid of that initial bootup scan for the SATA drives??? Thanks in advance...

yeah, there is a jumper on your motherboard to the bottom-right of the cmos battery. you'll want to move the jumper so that the jumper is connecting pins 2 and 3 (the middle and right pin). there are also a couple diagrams that come with your a7n8x that show you where the SATA jumper is and which pins to connect to enable and disable.
