MasterJack2005 Posted July 17, 2005 Posted July 17, 2005 Overclocking noob here. All went great in the setup. I have WinXP SP2 up and running. Here are my numbers: Core Speed: 2295mhz Mult: 9 HTT: 255.1 CPU Voltage: 1.6 Mem Frequency: 255.1 FSB-DRAM: CPU/9 The rest: 2, 4, 3, 7, 7 Dram Idle: 256 Above numbers were taken in CPU-Z Everest Reports: Mem Read: 6514 Mem Write: 2326 Mem Latency: 44.6 n/s With this info - could someone suggest what settings I could tweak to increase CPU speed and Mem Write? Any help for this noob would be great. Thanks, M/J
red930 Posted July 17, 2005 Posted July 17, 2005 It's quite possible you have reached the max on your memory. I would start at 200 with a 10 multi and start working back up to the max FSB. With the A64 processors CPU speed is much more important than FSB.
MasterJack2005 Posted July 17, 2005 Posted July 17, 2005 Thank you. I can't seem to up the multi (assuming you are speaking of CPU/FSB Frequency Ration) higher than X9.0. If this is not what you mean - please let me know. Here are a few more settings I am using: DRAM FREQ: 200 COMMAND PER CLOCK: disable CASE LETENCY CONTROL: 2.0 There rest from there down as follows: 4,7,3,7,17,3,2,2,3,4708,1,enabled.... Thanks all, MasterJack
red930 Posted July 17, 2005 Posted July 17, 2005 Sorry, I though you had a 3200 processor when I looked at your sig. One of the benefits of getting a little faster processor is the higher multiplier. Thank you. I can't seem to up the multi (assuming you are speaking of CPU/FSB Frequency Ration) higher than X9.0. If this is not what you mean - please let me know.
