spdiscus Posted July 17, 2005 Posted July 17, 2005 It covers the top (non-video) PCI-E slot, and, from what I've heard, isn't as good as the XP-90 with a nice fan. I'd go for that (if I were starting over).

Hmmm... strange - in my friend's rig, that is almost the same as in my sig, it dosn't cover anything other than you can't take in/out 2 closest to CPU memory sticks. Xeen Posted July 17, 2005 Posted July 17, 2005 I'm using the Zalman CNPS7700-Cu on the Ultra-D without any problems, only problem i can think of is if u got extreme high memory modules. Don't know wich is best of the two u mentioned, i like the zalman coz its quiet

seevip Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 I have the 7700cu, on the NF3 Ultra D Fine, last memory stick you can get it in, its a bit tricky to slide it from the side. I use yellow slots anyway.
spdiscus Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 i have pics... here That looks exactly like my 7000. I'd thought the 7700 was a lot bigger, but I stand corrected.
ajones Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 The 7700 is not listed as incompatible on the Zalman website. It's listed as /QUOTE "Compatible if Zalman's ZM80#-HP VGA cooler is not installed." /ENDQUOTE which are the fanless heat pipe based gfx card coolers Zalman produce. The fins of the 7700 come very close to the gfx card, so any chunky cooling on the backside of the gfx card could potentially interfere. No problems with mine - got a couple of mills room.
