Video Card Help

Recommended Posts

Need help getting my system to boot up. Just got a lanparty nf4 sli-dr and here is my issure.

have taken the time to go through various things in order to figure out why the mobo will not boot up.

I have tried one stick of ram in slot 2.

My RAM has LED's that tell me when it is working

When I turn the power on the RAM LED's do not go on.

When I remove the video card however, they blink normally, as if the system is booting up.

I have checked my video card with another pc, and even tried another video card with no success.

SLi jumpers are set correctly (for normal operation)

all power connections have been made

RAM and CPU (athlon x2) work correctly and are being detected.

Not sure what Bios I have, whatever it shipped with. I can't update because I have not been able to get my system up at all yet.

Thank you for your help

Did you try your system before installing the watercooling? Maybe something went haywire. Have you tried your video card in the second pci-e slot?

In the second pci-e slot my ram starts working, but the video card still will not work. As for the water cooling, i don't understand why this would keep me from booting up?

Dumb question...

Do I need a sli video card (even if running just one)?

No, most any PCIe VC should work.
