Sharp Posted July 16, 2005 Posted July 16, 2005 Hello, Did you touch the blue jumpers on the module? Is it plugged into the board properly? Look on the Karajan module, see the codec it should have this printed on it. ALC850. Does your one say ALC850 or does it say ALC880? Make sure the onboard audio is set to Auto.
Firestorm Posted July 16, 2005 Posted July 16, 2005 Hello, Did you touch the blue jumpers on the module? Is it plugged into the board properly? Look on the Karajan module, see the codec it should have this printed on it. ALC850. Does your one say ALC850 or does it say ALC880? in response to the first question yes i did as installed the front audio cables after noticing the problem i replaced the jumpers in the same place i found them. For the second i presume it is plugged in properly, and have taken it out and put it back in again. The codec does read alc850. in repsonse to mobius yeah i ve checked everything in the bios is running on the right settings. Went i install the nvidia nf4 drivers (including the audio one) and go add/remove and click remove drivers the audio one does not appear...don; tknow if this has anything to do with it... anyways guys thanks for the responses i will check again tomorrow. BOLt Posted July 17, 2005 Posted July 17, 2005 I am also having problems with my onboard sound. I've posted a separate thread, but any answers here would also be appreciated for the both of us!
Wli3 Posted July 17, 2005 Posted July 17, 2005 Bolt, I think the answer you will get is that you need a 480 watt 24 pin power supply before they can actually answer the question about your audio problems.
