Toronto1 Posted July 16, 2005 Posted July 16, 2005 Is there any software out there that allows you to adjust your setting through windows?

THunDA Posted July 16, 2005 Posted July 16, 2005 Whats up with CG Thunda? TBH... Ive always heard AG and others say not to use ANY windows oc'n utilities because they could mess things up.. So ive always stayed away from them and try to pass on what I hear.. Besides it only take 20sec's or less for me to reboot..
loc.o Posted July 16, 2005 Posted July 16, 2005 TY, i do most of me OC settings in bios, but when i wanna set it just a bit higher then 24/7 settings i always use clockgen and never had a problem with it. Just DONT touch the PCI-E slider, leave that one at stock. I like the prog.

Angry_Games Posted July 16, 2005 Posted July 16, 2005 do NOT overclock within windows...Oskar has made the bios so complex because that is the system-level hardware and asking system-level settings to be manipulated by a barely-stable (if at all) operating system software....is asking for a lot of trouble
iky10 Posted July 16, 2005 Posted July 16, 2005 i found both clockgen and 64tweaker...not good for my system both casued instability straight after applying settings, i would recommend goin thru bios..may take longer...but worth it... Alienwhere Posted July 16, 2005 Posted July 16, 2005 yah same here after using clock gen and a64 tweaker in wondows not on two diff systems, and when i rebooted now only one 512 is good I had a 64 bit pc with 2X512 speed premiums and a infinity with a 2600 mobile on it and after tweakin with clockgen and tweaker on both pcs one of the 512's in both of my pcs have taken a dump on me. One was bh-5 1a4t utt and nforce2 was ch-5 aa4t utt Now in order to rma to the egg im going to try to have the rep find me two diff sticks which i think will almost be impossible, i might just ram the whole bh-5 gig and get me that ocz gold origonal bh-5s for nforce3 and as far as the ch goes im skrewd i think
