Buying new high-end memory, which of these?

I'm going to buy some new high-end/overclockable memory for my computer, and I wonder which kind I should buy?

My requirements are eighter 300+ mhz ddr w/okay timings, or around 270mhz ddr w/tight timings...

I've been thinking about these:

Corsair XMS4400C25 TWINX DDR550

OCZ Gold Edition EL Voltage Xtreme DDR500

(Please give me other suggestions if you know about any other alternatives.)

I'd would really like to hit 300mhz ddr, and run ram/fsb 1:1

I know that the Corsair will do that, but will it work on my motherboard?

Saw quite a few people on this forum that had trouble with them, have that been fixed in newer bios revisions?

Corsair likely would give problems on the DFI NF4. The VX is not likely to run 270 tight and is high voltage requirement memory.

I know you cannOt buy from newegg but the specifications for the memory are at newegg and you NEED to read them closely before you look for similar that you can buy in your global region.

man those sticks looked nice, annoys me I cant get a hold on Gskill here...seems vx4000 is the best I can get in Norway for my DFI NF4. annoying that the corsair memory gives people trouble on this motherboard as the overclock very well on others. I saw an review on anandtech and they reached over 300mhz ddr at cas 2.5 (with the dfi nf4 mobo), guess they got lucky :P

will there not be a bios fix to get those chips working properly on the dfi?

edit: found those gskill sticks on a webshop here. which one would you have used of those two?

I'm going to buy gskill :) think i'll go for the 4400 version as they clock about as good as the 4800. and I save a bit of money as well

EDIT:

I see now that there are two different versions of the pc4400:

F1-3200DSU2-1GBLE (costs about 20$ more)

F1-3200DSU2-1GBLF

Guess I'll be going for the LE? High price most times mean high performance right?

Guest Joalaielna

I'm running VXpc4000 At 2-2-2-6 250htt ATM and love them, Pervided you feed them 3.5 volts of POWER. ;)
