lol, Hi guys i See a lot of sweet rigs here and i was wondering if you could post you FPS of the games you play. I havnt played any yet with my rig but i hope to get at least 90 FPS in hl2 :cool:

that should be a 90fps rig for sure, unless you want to game at 2048X1536. On the CS:S stress test I get 122fps, and I have a friggin 5900XT in here right now, but it is largely CPU dependant, so with a decent chip/RAM, there is no way you will be under 90fps for any part of HL2.

 

I only play World of Warcraft, because I am addicted and proud.

:nod: Nah i dont like it when everything is like zoomed out, i like 1024x768 Resolution. But i have never tried to play games on that high of res. Dont think my laptop can go that high lol

First of all, don't get the FX-57. It's a complete waste of money. Get an FX-55 San Diego if you must. Second, I get anywhere from 90-180FPS in UT2004 on max settings @ 1280x1024 with 4xAA and 16x AF.

BTW, if you haven't already purchased your parts, I have a much better suggestion for the RAM:

the timing on that is 2-2-2-5

and the one on mine is 2-3-2-5

 

would it make a diffrence? im not realy sure how the timing works. also im not planning on over clocking.

I wasn't planning on overclocking either. But look at me now. I have that exact RAM and it does 1.5-2-2-3-1T timings at 3.4V overclocked to 246 FSB. If you don't overclock you could still hit those timings at 3.2V most likely. Basicly, the lower the timings, the better.

That person is wrong. I'm running my memory @ 220MHz 1.5-2-2-5 @ 2.9v as I'm typing to you.

You should have no problem getting 90 FPS at 1024x768 in HL2.

 

I get bettween, 80 - 200, usually 150 or so.
