Completely Kick-Butt Keyboard

Recommended Posts

Lol $1200 US for this keyboard :eek2: - Cant see to many of these being sold, atleast in the early stages. Would be awsome to have one though

How much would every one be willing to pay....??? My limit would probably be round the 300-400 $ mark....

Don't they have that weird little 3-key keyboard thing that costs somewhere around $160?

Bringing a thread back from the dead...

They finally released the keyboard:

That is definitely more than I wanted to pay. Still pretty cool though.

[i]"But the makers of the Optimus Maximus are now saying the keyboard will finally ship on November 30, for a whopping $1,536. Be prepared to stand in a long, long line for your Optimus Maximus, though; the manufacturer is promising only 400 finished keyboards by the end of the year, and just 400 more by January 2008. If you want a taste of how the keyboard will work, you can always snap up the Optimus Mini Three, a three-key version of the Maximus that retails for a mere $160.

These are a real neat idea...but for 1,500.00 I'll still hunt and pack like always...still sweet idea though

cost a fortune for me i buy the cheapest i can cause it's ALLWAYS the keyboards fault that i got wasted playing a game.
my desk is custom made out of mdf(medium density fibreboard) add a shelf whenever, little compartment for this and that.
easy to work with just have to wear a make when drilling and cutting

I could kinda see this being good for people starting to use CAD or photoshop or other shortcut intensive programs. But, if you take the time to use those programs, you learn the right keys and placement anyways, negating the need to see colorful pictures of things. Really just an overpriced gimmick. Not saying I wouldn't want one, but easily something that serves no real true purpose.
