Jules_Verne Posted July 14, 2005 Posted July 14, 2005 If I enable the onboard LAN, the computer will crash to the Blue screen of Death with an "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" or similar errors (often in NDIS.SYS) when changing to the other user (in a two-user install) or when shutting the computer down. In Eventviewer it shows as a series of errors caused by the service "Computer Browser" being unable to finish its business. If onboard LAN is disabled, the problem goes away. I'm now using a PCI LAN-card, but I'd like to use the onboard LAN if I can, since it's faster/better.

Jules_Verne Posted July 20, 2005 Posted July 20, 2005 Thanks for the reply. And no, no plans to O/C at the moment, with this valueram. Perhaps down the road I will purchase some PC4400 ram and try it. But the LAN related BSODs are there whether I have CnQ installed/enabled or not. EDIT: Maybe I didn't understand you right - is CnC = Cool and Quiet? Or something else?
Jules_Verne Posted August 15, 2005 Posted August 15, 2005 I finally got the onboard gigabit LAN working. NAM and firewall too. I installed the ethernet drivers and NAM from the 4.24 unified driver release, and everything was fine. Been running stable with it for a couple of days now.
