hey everyone~

new to water cooling here. currently not exactly into OC, but yes i want to reduce fan noise and cool my cpu. i have a xaser II case, so i know i can fit something nice in there. i only have an Athlon XP 1700+ right now and can anyone tell me if the aquariusII will fit on the XP 1700? and if there's something better, any suggestions on what to get? here's my setup:

asus a7v266-e

athlon xp 1700+

gig of DDR 2100

200 GB worth of HDs

geforce 4 ti4600

like i said, for now i just want a nice cool cpu for playing high stress games and applications, and i want less fan noise as well.

thanks alot!

yes the aquariusII will fit on the 1700+ but i wouldnt get it.....you need to spend atleast 175 bucks or more for a good water cooling setup.

Maybe the Koolance Exos or the dangerden systems.

you would probably get better temps with the slk-900u (which is a massive heatsink) than with the aquarius.

I was going to buy it until i read the reviews on it. ( here is a review that one of the guys here did.)

Another watercooling kit to stay away from is the Aphanix Iceberg. I have the same case as you, it fit well in the case, but didn't make any specatular difference in temps. In fact I was running slightly hotter idle than my Vantec Aeroflow under load. Whatever you do do not go with a cheap kit. The Dangerden waterblocks are decent though and should be considered.

I recommend you to do it yourself. Here I show you how www.losconectados.com

he said he was new to the whole thing though...the guy that did it himself knew what he was doing, not only that, my pos hsf that i bought off my niebor for 20 bucks that had been used for 2 weeks gives much better results than that homemade......still cool to make ur own but hes new lol.
