OCZ VX bios and setting help

Recommended Posts

I can't seem to get my rig (shown below) running good over 230fsb. 3 latency

anything above that at any timing voltage or bios and the thing just wants to error and not boot at all

any help on bios? maybe a version or update that likes this VX mem?

Bios settings to help clear it up maybe?

I don't understand why this memory will not run over 230 on this board tried 510-2 623-3 and 702-2 bios and they all are the same error at anything over 230 regardless of settings I have read these posts and still can't seem to clear it up

Stuff will run at 250 2.0 2-2-8 on my AN8 SLI board with all the exact same components.

ANy advice for VX and a San diego

I am gonna give 623-2 a whirl and see what gives.

Tried so far

510-2 fix

623 official

Trying 623-2 now. gonna run this one for a good bit and try all the tref's and such to see if I can get it stable. then I am gonna go from the yellow to orange slots and try agian and see.

any other thoughts? or just keep trying combos.

I have some Mushkin pc4000 redline coming tuesday to see if it is a ram issue. maybe I just got a couple of bad sticks or these just are defective for some reason. I can always rma them.

This may be a dumb suggestion but....

just wanted to ask if you have a fan blowing on the memory sticks?

I have had much better luck with my OCZ utt ch with having a 80mm fan blowing directly over them. Before adding the fan I had problems with test 5 and 8.
