Oclock Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 Hi ive been getting some pretty good clocks out of my 3700 at 230 * 12 113% voltage. Smartguardian says my cpu is 39 and my hs probe is given me about 27. I wanna try and put more volts in it and see if i can go any higher but im not sure what i should limit the temps to. Maybe a water cooling system is in my near future. Suggestions on parts/kits?
Branjo Posted December 12, 2005 Posted December 12, 2005 why so low of voltage now 1.3v? my stock is 1.5v and my temps are 33 idle 40 load

CPDMF Posted December 12, 2005 Posted December 12, 2005 The average consensus seems to be right around 1.75 volts on air and a little more on water. Still haven't found anyone that has killed a Clawhammer running over 1.75. My newcastle is the same core as your hammer and it hasn't seen less than 1.7 in over 6 months, hasn't become voltage dependant as it will still run stock speeds at 1.4v. Until It gives me some kind of a problem I won't know how voltage effects it.
EdLSmith Posted December 12, 2005 Posted December 12, 2005 1.3 X 113%, that puts you at 1.6 so pay attention. When you use these voltages you don't get a second to check. It doesn't smoke, it just turns to ash. I took the IHS off my FX-53and went to 1.75Vcore and I'm still using it. Didn't get any extra though, my OC didn't improve at all.
