DFI: never again

Recommended Posts

man do you have some problems, I went out bought a DFI board off the shelf at microcenter because my chaintek board was a piece of crap, had several issues with different types of PSU's, ending up frying my motherboard, anyways i install everything on the board (no directions needed, went by the "if it looks like it fits, stick in the slot method) and of course i hit the power button, and bingo! Besides a few issues with getting compatiable hardware drivers for some older equipment I own such as my dvd burner (always bound to happen when upgrading to a new system) I have had no complaints with my board and the technical support has been fantastic, maybe if you stopped wasting your time on how elegantly you can swear (which you need to work on anyways :P ) and pay attention as to where you are posting and what you are asking, you might have been able to get the help you needed, instead you start right out of the chute by being a dick and being immature. I for one curse you to spend the rest of your life in motherboard hell, no matter where, what type, how much, or how many motherboards you die, you are always condemened to have a motherboard that refuses to POST HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA!!! -(evil manical laughter of course....)

arsohn there is NO need for name calling, its not what this forum is about.. If you dont have anything nice to post then dont post please..

I can feel his pain about having two bad mobo's even though I think he should give it more of a chance .. I sell cellular phones for a living and I take care of people very well .. But there has been many times that someone has gotten a few defective phones in a row.. Thats why I listed his options and didnt bash him for feeling the way he does..

This is a support forum and what people should realize is 'most' people that come here are looking for help with a problem and need fixing.. Thats why its called a 'support forum'.. and not a "please post here if you happy with your dfi forum.." ( well that would be a long name but you get the picture.. )

Im sure there is much more people happy with their DFI mobo's then unhappy.. But sometimes you cant make everyone happy.. Thats just life..

How offensive it is to see people take offense where none is intended. I stated that no offense was meant quite clearly in my first post.

Remember, only jerks need resort to ad hominem attacks.

But what can I expect from someone whose self confessed m.o. is to stick things into any orifice to see what happens.

As for swearing "elegantly": I don't see that I ever did. I used acronyms and alternate spellings in common use on the internet to indicate emphasis as an alternative to swearing. Like shoot or dang. Unlike dick.

But then, it seems English isn't your first langauge, so your mistakes are, perhaps, forgivable. But it could be that your parents were just too closely related. You know, "gene pool too shallow."

You called me a dick. I've just given you an example of how a real one acts so you can recognize one in the future. Then again, you could read your own posts. If you could read your own posts, that is.

Feel free to attack in what will surely be an unread post. bert inly fater uou;ve esrlnled to sperlm sand tgypr porgerrly, and dunt fetafgo to CATIPLANIZE cuwedtctly.

Standards of communication do indeed exist. And one of them is not accusing

someone of using "thinly veiled words." I meant nothing other than what I

typed. And for you to imply that I did is rude and insulting. But people do

tend to believe that other people act as they themselves do.

"I would say that to get the best responses, you should post in a new thread

that has a relevant title, and in a section that folks with your board would

frequent." But you didn't say that. Hmmm... what did you say? Oh yeah:

Hmmm....

Dual Channel.

Different colored memory slots.

NF3 250GB Bug Reporting Forum.

Interesting.

Interesting. Could this be a thinly veiled insult from someone who doesn't

like thinly veiled insults. No, of course not, that would be

hypocritical. But I choose to interpret it as an insult that I obviously

don't realize what this thread is about. But instead of stating it in the

form you give above (and should have, politeness being one of the standards

of communication which you preach but do not seem to practice), you responded

with a post intending to imply I was too stupid to catch on. How cruel.

Also, the veiled implication that you perservered[sic] and I didn't is also

rude and insulting. I did, in fact, persevere and fix every problem. The

point is that I SHOULD NOT HAVE HAD TO. I don't rewire the nichrome in my

toaster. Fix the magnetron in my microwave. Replace the vacuum in my

monitor. They work for the greater part, and when they don't, customers are

not intended to persevere. They get a replacement. And many industries have

vanishingly small failure percentages. I have seen no other industry (other

than perhaps the automobile industry) require people to FIX buggy products.

Maintenance, yes. Repairs, no. To reverse the situation, if my check

bounces, the bounced party doesn't put money into my account so the check no

longer bounces. Vendors don't fix my problems, but I am required to fix

theirs. This problem is endemic to the entire industry, and DFI is not

alone. But I've never had a board as bad as this one. DOA is one thing, but

loaded with so many flaws that I had to fix, is another. And people accept

it. In fact, people who think it is WRONG are considered whiners and people

who don't persevere. As long as this is accepted, the vendors have no

incentive to change. RISE UP PEOPLE! We have nothing to lose but the hours

spent "perservering" instead of playing the games on the hardware on which we

spent so much money! You may enjoy spending money on a product and not being

able to use it without a ton of work. But I've got better things to do.

Corporations *love* people like you. They don't even have to pay for the

Vaseline.

My intention was not to ask questions, just to b!tch (* gasp! *), whine and

moan about my experience. I was curious about those, hmmmm... colored

slots... interesting. My non-questions do not seem to have brought down

the wrath of the board gurus, only certain of its other "people".

Oh, and I loved the supercilious "Good luck pardner" showing your obvious

superiority and nobility in being kind to such an obvious sh!t (or is it

.) head as myself.

There; nothing veiled. If I had meant to say things like this, I would have.

Of course, I could be misinterpreting your post. Sometimes people see things

that aren't there. And then foolishly waste a lot of time reacting to them.

But we all see what we want and to gosh darn to heck those who say otherwise.

What a senseless waste of time and effort.

I just hope you don't spend too much time "perservering" to actually have fun

on your system, pardner.

Please know that I love you and wish you nothing but the best. You are an

outstanding example of the kind of person that makes the internet the

wonderful experience that it is.

Of course, I could be wrong.

ta ta,
