Quad Master Posted July 10, 2005 Posted July 10, 2005 Hi All I am new here so dont know if this topic was discussed earlier but i really wanted to know about these extra timings. Most of the NF4 Motherboards that have Overclocking Features have these standard Ram Timings Tweaks Default CAS latency RAS to CAS delay Active to Precharge delay (shown as Min RAS# active time(Tras) RAS precharge delay (shown as Row precharge Time) But DFI BIOS Also has row cycle time; row refresh cycle time; row to row delay; write recovery time; write to read delay; read to write delay; refresh period; write CAS latency; DQS skew control; DQS skew value; drive strength; data drive strength; asynchronous latency; read preamble; idle cycle limit; read/write queue bypass; and maximum bypass count (shown as Bypass Max). Can some one explain me what do changes in these extra timings do. Also is there any other article or link describing it in detail with standard values to use. Any sort of help will be of gr8 help to me. I was confused where do i post this article in the Overclocking section or 64Bit Motheboard Section but posted it here since that timings are used to Overclock the Ram.
