ReMoose Posted July 9, 2005 Posted July 9, 2005 Im wanting to put in a new power switch on my pc and ive searched the net trying to find answers. Do pc power switches have to meet a certain Volt and Amp standard? The reason why i want to switch them out is i have a small child that has learned that pushing buttons makes different things happen and i want to get a smaller more concealable switch. Thanks
Guest Joalaielna Posted July 9, 2005 Posted July 9, 2005 I've used a lightswitch before, You just have to flip it on then off real quick in order to get it to start. If you just leave it on the computer shuts itself back off. Not saying you should try this but it was fun figuring it out.
davidhammock200 Posted July 9, 2005 Posted July 9, 2005 Any "single pole single throw mometary contact" switch should be fine.
ReMoose Posted July 9, 2005 Posted July 9, 2005 Ok thats what i have laying around. I wasnt sure how it would work on the motherboard pins because they do specify positive and negative poles. unless those are just there for reference.
