DFI is not for the novice

Recommended Posts

See a lot of posts here that are just to plain simple. Meaning alot of noobies running these boards.

This is great as long as you leave the BIOS alone.

There are fifty ways to crash your board in BIOS. Mainly mem settings and Genie.

If you must play in BIOS then change only one setting at a time then run it for a day or two.

Just some friendly advice ;)

Robot's arms flailing wildly, energy inefficient flashing lights and strobes in clear acrylic head, lighting the night sky:

"Warning! Warning, Will Robinson! Warning!"

DFI multi-headed monster appears, belching fire and smoke, and yelling:

"You have entered the realm of DFI, and crossed the point of no return! MUHAAHAAHAA! BWAAHAAHAAHAA! You're mine...all MINE!"

With any computer hardware you should always do alot of research on all your components, especially the RAM so that you know what settings other people are using and the speeds your wanting to run so that you have an idea what settings to choose in the BIOS. DFI boards aren't for the people that just want to install it and have someone else do everything for you.
