zac1 Posted July 7, 2005 Posted July 7, 2005 I have not loaded the NF4 Drivers but when I did machine was unstable does it matter or is it all right not to load it. I loaded it and machine was unstable so I went through a few things to see why, I thought I will take it one step at a time and try things. And by not loading NF4 rig is more stable. but what am I losing in not doing so??? Cheers
Sharp Posted July 7, 2005 Posted July 7, 2005 Hello, Losing something, I have never tested my pc without the drivers Nvidia BUS driver, controls have the various devices communicate, PCI/PCIe/USB/SATA/IDE, anything so it is a very important driver. The Firewall can make things unstable. Try the latest drivers. (dont instal firewall) http://www.nvidia.com/object/nforce_nf4_winxp2k_6.

Sharp Posted July 7, 2005 Posted July 7, 2005 Hello, Go into safe mode, unistall the nvidia chipset driver and restart. Is it ok now? Yes, try it again but do not install the Audio driver/firewall/IDE driver. Is you RAID array on the Silicon image controller?
