Rezag1000 Posted July 2, 2005 Posted July 2, 2005 I heard a while ago DFI and OCZ were studying exactly what is going on with these boards and the "reported" problems. I am just wondering if anything has been found so far. Has it been determined if it is safe to use the 5v jumper yet, or are engineers still studying this? What about cold boot problems? Has the cause been determined? I heard the 618 BIOS help, but more info would help. I personally don't have the cold boot problem, but I know many do. PS: A while ago I made a similar thread but to my amazment, it seemed to be deleted after about 5 minutes. I am sure this was an accident or an error Now if AG or RGone see need that this thread be closed, be it so. But please post a link to another thread where we may discuss this topic in freedom
longsiew Posted July 2, 2005 Posted July 2, 2005 Bios 615 and 618 series did cure my cold boot but not for long. Cold boot came back after a few days. Currently on Bios 310 (official) since every bios can not slove my cold boot so I just stick to the offical Bios.

longsiew Posted July 4, 2005 Posted July 4, 2005 My another stick of TWSP is death. Currently I am using 615 Bios. I paired up my kingston Value RAM (hynic BT D43) just to check my another stick of RAM is really death. And I managed to boot up with a stick of TWSP and a stick of Kingston Value ram IN DUAL CHANNEL MODE. I can even oc my system to 270Mhz with this two sticks of RAm by using memory divider [email protected] only. As compared to previous, I must up my vdimm to 3.6vdimm in order to stable my TWSP @260Mhz. Actually I can load into windows @ 280Mhz but SuperPi will fail even @16K. I wil RMA my TMSP in a few days. So my recommendation to some of you is that try to pair up any RAM and you might see some miracle things happen. As for my case, Two totally different chipset of RAM could works pair in pair in my oc by losing some timings and using memory divider. (Anyway, this is better than cold boot. Right)
