hi,

Is this Ram OCZ Gold 3200 2x512MB (BH-5 UTT) the best for my system?

I can get it for 150€ and I will try to OC..

Or can I get better Ram for this price or a little more with TCCD for my board?

Can this RAM run on 270Mhz or does it not work?

edit:

I read this in another thread:

According to this, :

QUOTE

If you ask us what memory to get for your board for overclocking, the answer will be:

PC3200 Platinum Rev 2 , 3700 Plat, 4200 Plat. 4800 plat or 5000 plat (all TCCD)

PC3200 Gold

PC3200 VX Gold and PC4000 VX Gold

That's about it.

Hey angry the guys over at OCZ informed me that my EL Golds are in fact BH-5's.

Hmm...maybe Newegg has the product listed incorrectly. Your memory is definitley BH5 based and like everyone said, you're going to need a lot of volts to get past 220. Your motherboard has 3.1v available for the memory so try that with active cooling on your memory to see how high you can go.
So i plan on getting the Powerstream like you said, thanks for the suggestion.

Can anyone confirm NEWEGG is shipping out OCZ plat rev.2 with TCCD (OCZ pps)?

Building another rig w/ OCZ memory, 3200 venice and NF4-D. Ive heard the venice mem. controllers dont like TCCD. Would it be smarter to have some BH-5 and my current TCCD on hand?

The chips are actually UTT BH die and are not sold as BH5. That said they sure act, feel and look like old BH5 chips. ;)

may I ask then, why is everyone saying the UTT BH and the Nf2 dont play nicely, if its supposedly the same stuff more or less like the BH5?

i just bought a pair of ocz pc3200 rev. 2 plat. for 190$ :(. anyhow, i would like to know what bios is best for them on a dfi sli-dr with a venice 3200. so far i tried 510-1fix, 510-2fix, and 510-3fix. no matter what i can't run 280, 285, or 290 htt at 1:1 mem timing :(. i set very loose mem timings. these sticks don't like high dram voltage. anything above 2.8 or 2.9 crashed the system instantly. i wonder what chips are on these sticks.
