EllisD Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 Its great. Took me from about 48-50hrs per SMP WU down to ~30hrs. Definetly worth a try. One thing to keep in mind though is to try it with a machine on your local network, so you can check progress. There is no realtime updating done on the actual machine, it just updates the files on the USB drive and that is what you check via your browser. I'm running a fairly minimal (text only) Debian Linux install as a VMWare guest OS, and getting just under 11 minutes per % on the 2605 WUs. I think the Virtual Extension support on the CPU and motherboard are helping it out. EDIT: I'm also not running it 24/7 so I'll probably get a WU every 2-3 days. Took spot #30 Looks like we are getting a few people back bill_v and wildman2 are starting to play with SMP WU's which is bumping our Average PPD up a bit, and a few others brought their Individual PPD over 100. Jim I think 3 years maybe 4.... I've slacked off lately actually my main rig wasn't even folding. I was going to shut it down though cause energy cost are getting so bad and my budget is broke. I am going to go around to all my work computers and get them back up though so I should increase my yields soon enough.
