RAID setup not being recognized in XP install

I used a guide to slipstream the 6.53 nVidia RAID drivers onto an XP SP2 install CD and it loads the two drivers needed when its loading the files at the XP install but it still recognizes the drives as two drives instead of a RAID0 array and the drives dont show up in Standard BIOS Settings when i enable RAID on the ports their located on. I enabled RAID on the SATA ports their located on and i hit F10 and set up a RAID0 array with those two 36GB raptors and set them to boot and yet when i go to choose where to install Windows i still get two individual drives. I'm using the more recent 618-2 BIOS. Whats the deal here? Why wont it recognize the drives in RAID? They show up in RAID0 array at POST and in the Hard Drive boot order in Advanced BIOS settings.

Also, i went ahead and just disabled RAID and installed Windows onto a single raptor again and i'm getting a weird popup box that i havn't ever gotten before when i installed drivers.

"Windows File Protection

Files that are required for Windows to run properly have been replaced by unrecognized versions. To maintain system stability, Windows must restore the original versions of these files.

Insert your Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 CD now."

What is that? I've never gotten that before.

Have you tried just installing windows on the first drive as seen in the windows setup? ...I have seen this before where the setup program will see individual drives...but once you get things installed....its a raid0 with only 1 drive visible in windows.

The Guide probably had an error or an oversight. Try mine HERE and see if that works fine (yes I know it means doing it all again, but its worth a try)

It should still see the Array as one drive as long as the drivers are correctly loaded in install. It should not matter which drive he installs it to it should still show both the array and the singe drive. Otherwise something is very wrong...

Here is the guide that i used:

http://www.short-media.com/review.php?r=284

I just added the two nVRAID .inf files through nLite like it said and modified that one txtsetup file.

And does anyone know whats up with that error message i got while Windows XP SP2 was installed on just one drive?

Nlite does NOT do it correctly at this time (but it will soon). Otherwise I would not have bothered writing the guide. Seriously, follow mine step by step and I will 99% guarentee it works (as long as you follow it to the letter!)

Seriously it just requires a bit of work and I saw that you posted in my last thread that it seemed easier... well.. It looked easier, but it also just looked plain wrong as well after reading it.. It only takes like 10 mins tops to do it following my guide and it really inst that complicated as I go thru everything you need to do.

Trust me

I was using nLite v. 1.0 beta 4. You saying that version has a bug like the problem i described? Which earlier version should i get? The only other version i see available on the site is v. 1.0 beta 2.
