SLI-DR RAM Problems and more.....!!!

Recommended Posts

Just got my new Mobo yesterday and I am so far pretty happy but there have been some problems I haven't been able to figure out yet.

My 4 RAM's Corsair XMS3200XL 512MB each are only recognized as DDR333. I can change it manually to 400 but when I only use 2 of them it's suddenly recognized as DDR400???

I've updated to the newest official BIOS 310. Is that sufficient or do you recommend a different BIOS???

In Windows it says that the Geforce 6 doesn't get enough power and is therefore downregulated? Is that due to my weak Power Supply???

Thanks for your help!!!

This will happen when you fill up all your memory banks...

What power supply are you using. The minimum is a 480W native 24 pin PSU. If you meet the requirements, do you have all 4 connectors connected to the Mobo???

Four connectors to mobo? ...FOUR? Main power and additional power connectors are familiar, but what's the other 2? Where they are connected at the mobo?

Its to supply proper power. theres a molex and a floppy connector. Both needs to be plugged in for stability. They don't put them there for looks

Ouh... and I thought that those were additional power connectors for heavy use (SLI etc.). I red some reviews about DFI LanParty SLI-DR nF4 mobo and none of the testers didn't use the floppy/molex connectors at all. So I then thought that those were optional and for really heavy load or something.

A little offtopic..

I'm really disappointed to one thing too.. my Kingston HyperX 370mhz rams doesn't work in dual channel. Only single channel works. (If those sticks are in dual channel, I won't even get to windows or mobo boots itself up in a loop everytime it gets to DMI POOL DATA verifation..)
