PhoenixC6 Posted June 27, 2005 Posted June 27, 2005 Am I reading that correctly? 250mhz @ 2-2-2-5 @ 2.9-3.4V?
jcniest5 Posted June 28, 2005 Posted June 28, 2005 So, has anyone taken advantage of this offer yet? How's the performance vs. G.Skill LE/LR/FF/FR ranked? Or vs. Corsair/OCZ/Geil?
jcniest5 Posted June 28, 2005 Posted June 28, 2005 Am I reading that correctly? 250mhz @ 2-2-2-5 @ 2.9-3.4V? Yeah, I think that's the UTT BH-5 version of it. The TCCD version is only 2.7-2.9 something.
Angry_Games Posted June 28, 2005 Posted June 28, 2005 the Centon Advance line is only TCCD at this time
ojon Posted June 28, 2005 Posted June 28, 2005 I've just spent about 30-40 minutes trying to order some of this ram. Everytime I get to the end of the process I get "ORDERING PROCESS ERROR". This has been the most frustrating order attempt I've ever had. And with today being a weekday, someone has got to be there to check out the error log every now and then. And they don't make it easy to contact them either. Anyone else have this problem? Ojon

dr_bowtie Posted June 29, 2005 Posted June 29, 2005 I think this is a good deal... I currently have a 1gig kit of each in my cart ready for purchase...My only thought is with the ddr500...how hot would the ram be with up to 3.4v going thru it? Some ram may not get warm at all with that much juice while others maybe rather hot?
Angry_Games Posted June 29, 2005 Posted June 29, 2005 if you plan on running all 4 together you are better off getting all matching modules (either 3200 or 4000) i never run that much voltage through my TCCD so I can't answer your voltage question. PhoenixC6 Posted June 29, 2005 Posted June 29, 2005 cant hurt to have a small fan over it. i know mushkin recommends it on their high voltage line. but they only want like 20cfm. so no need for a tornado or anything. im seriously considering the 250 @ 2-2-2-5. thats very impressive. red930 Posted June 29, 2005 Posted June 29, 2005 3.4vdimm seems pretty extreme for TCCD,don't think I'll try it either
