Wraithetc Posted June 26, 2005 Posted June 26, 2005 Hardware in sig I keep getting 2 errors in test 7 no matter what. I set the dimm voltage to 3.1 which is the minimum voltage I can get it to boot but other than that i'm using rgones settings. Memtest reads the errors as 00003c6ffb0 60.9mb good: 536d5b8c bad:136d5b8c errorbits:40000000 I think this is the cause of my computer randomnly rebooting itself after exiting a game like UT2004. It bsods while changing resolution, the error is the IRQ equal or less thing.

cpuz Posted June 27, 2005 Posted June 27, 2005 I have read that value ram is not recommended w/ a top performing board as you are using. But try olivery's suggestion anyway. Also, you could try another bios.
Guest burningrave101 Posted June 27, 2005 Posted June 27, 2005 I have read that value ram is not recommended w/ a top performing board as you are using. But try olivery's suggestion anyway. Also, you could try another bios. It all depends on what your looking at as to whether or not value memory is any good. OCZ Value VX uses UTT-BH chips now which is the same chips used in the OCZ PC3200 Gold. The Value VX overclocks quite well. He probably just needs to increase the voltage, burn in the RAM or tweak the DRAM settings. The tREF, Data Strength, and Data Drive Strength settings are especially important.
