HombreDeHierro Posted June 26, 2005 Posted June 26, 2005 Has anyone tried MS' Media Center Edition 2005? How was the experience? Hierro
CJ4 Posted June 27, 2005 Posted June 27, 2005 I have it and it's pretty nice. Just like Win XP Pro, with the added Media Center capabilities. However, it did take a while for me to get a stable setup and I ended up using my cable box HD DVR more anyway (I mess with my computer alot and my wife isn't very forgiving when one of her shows doesn't get recorded). PhatEd Posted December 1, 2005 Posted December 1, 2005 Hi, I too have just got MCE 2005 installed and was wondering what mainboard drivers you are using? I have searched high and low for the MCE drivers and the only ones I can find for it are on the Nvidia website listed as "Nforce4 430/410". Do you know if this is the one I need? I am using at SLi-DR board. Thanks in advance Ian
ThreeFlow Posted December 4, 2005 Posted December 4, 2005 430/410 sounds like drivers for nVidia's new integrated video chipsets. Windows Media Center is built on top of Windows XP, I would bet money that you require only the XP drivers, nothing more.
