monsterzero Posted June 26, 2005 Posted June 26, 2005 Tell me (anyone), is it possible some comps just will not run Prime95 and OCCT? I've had my DFI system for a while now and never could get them to run stable at all. I finally switched to the 510-3 a few days on the advice awhile back of someone here, and find it to be great (can run 9x305 with a mem divider) but once again Prime and OCCT simply won't work past a minute no matter the setting (except at stock). I just find this extremely frustrating as all other benches run fine when overclocked. Anyone else just not able to get these two to run stable?
red930 Posted June 26, 2005 Posted June 26, 2005 Are you using the latest ver, of prime? There are other stability proggys, but it is generally accepted that if you're failing both.....well you Know, you're not stable

Thanks.
HoUnD Posted June 26, 2005 Posted June 26, 2005 Latest version is 2.412 right?
monsterzero Posted June 26, 2005 Posted June 26, 2005 Nope. Same problem within a minute. I may just have to live with 99% stable. Wish I had a spare CPU to test.

apu673 Posted June 26, 2005 Posted June 26, 2005 I have the same problem with my new Mushkin Redline and DFI NF4 ulta-d. Try running memtest and see if you get errors in that. If you do then your system is unstable.

If you do then your system is unstable. Memtested both sticks seperately awhile back, no errors at all. Playah, I based my intial settings for this second round of testing on those settings to no avail, except moving the mem to the yellow slots. I'll try that and play with settings again and see what happens. Thanks. To Surrept, thanks for the PM and support. I'll get it one of these days
red930 Posted June 27, 2005 Posted June 27, 2005 Make sure that you dont have the nvidia ide drivers installed. They gave me a hard time when i first got this board. They install with the driver cd and you would never know any different until you try and acces that drive.
