Guest Puma Posted June 26, 2005 Posted June 26, 2005 Hey everyone, I'm new to the forum so bear with me. I'm having some problems getting my memory to work in my Ultra-D board. I have 4 256 mb sticks of OCZ EB 3700, and I can only get any 2 of them to work at once. Also note that they are single sided sticks. I know the sticks aren't bad b/c I've memtested both pairs for 5+ hours each. I have tried loading optimized defaults in bios with no luck. I also read the DFI NF4 BIOS Memory Guide thread that's sticked and set all the ram settings to slow/stability with no luck there. All of my testing has been done at 400mhz, so I am not nearly pushing the ram to it's limits. I am using a 380 watt Seasonic s12 series PSU with a native 24 pin mobo connector and also have all the power connectors on the mobo connected. I think I put everything else that's relevant in my sig. Any help fixing my problem is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
rise4310 Posted June 26, 2005 Posted June 26, 2005 i forget if the 5.10 bios fix this or not.
Guest Puma Posted June 27, 2005 Posted June 27, 2005 Thanks for the reply rise4310, I did try flashing to the 510 bios. I finally was able to boot into windows with all 4 sticks going after flashing to the 510 bios but that's only if I set the command rate to 2T. Also, it only seemed stable when I increased the voltage to 3.2 volts. Anyone know if this is normal or just a limitation to the mobo/cpu memory controller? I really thought they'd run ok since they're single sided sticks. I'd really like to get them running at 1T if at all possible or I'll probably just switch to my slower Hyper-x memory. Anyone else have any other ideas?
PSS Posted June 27, 2005 Posted June 27, 2005 When you have four sticks, you have to have a command rate of 2T.
