Hi Guys

Right im having some really annoying problems at the moment, Basicley my computer wont let me boot into windows and its doing my nut. When i first reformatted it let me boot into windows about 4 times ( which i used restarting because i was installing drivers ) SO since then i have done the following -

-

I deleted windows then reinstalled and i managed to boot into windows. I managed to flash the bios to the latest version ( 615 ) and then i restarted. The computer still wont boot into windows.

Turn computer on

DFI logo comes up

a screen with some writing comes up ( perfectley normal happens on all Pcs)

the loading screen for windows comes up ( black with the little loading bar in the middle with the windows logo above it )

then it gos to a black screen for about 5 seconds

then the DFI logo comes on and we start again

Ive evan tryed other ram ( Samsung ) and that did nothing at all. I have also tryed turning off command per lock ( which is set to disable )

Please guys this is doing my nut :(

I've got a nearly identical spec to you...mine has been fine apart from a couple of random reboots. Try upping the ram voltage to 2.7 rather than the default of 2.6. Also try setting the cas etc to "auto" if that fails to work set the cas latency to 2.5. If that fails try loading the optimized defaults and see if it boots then.

First I would flash to a dif bios ver 615 is not good....had issues and was removed by dfi......Like I said earler 510-2 has been good for me. I would also try setting up bios per the below. Like spike said you can try 2.7 first. All I get is bsod's at 2.7 myself...but each system is a little different... the + and - thing.

1 . Clear cmos (make sure unplug power cable to psu)

2. Boot and go into bios. Set to load optimized default

3. Save and reboot.

4. Go back into bios go into genie bios settings and make sure dim voltage is set to 2.6

Make the below changes.

CAS Latency CL=2.5

Ras# to CAS# delay tRCD 3

Min Ras# Active Time tRAS 6

Row Precharge Time tRP 3

Disable Bank interleave.

Plus turn off cpu throttling.

5. Save and reboot.
